A little about me

My name is Talya Horenstein, I am a young Jewish girl who lived in Aventura, Florida most of my life. Growing up I was obsessed with Disney films, movies, and shows. Disney films and movies really created who I am today. I've always loved Fantasy movies, especially Disney princess ones. Watching the princesses really inspired me and shaped my life. My favorite princess moving was The little Mermaid, I always remember wanting to be Ariel so bad. Walt Disney movies and films hasn't only been a huge role in my life, but actually traveling to the Disney parks really changed my whole perspective on things. Disney allowed me to experience a taste of different cultures and countries around the world by visiting its many parks. My favorite theme park, Epcot actually brings you around the world to 11 different countries. I've had the opportunity to travel with my family to different places around the world and Disney truly captures the essence of many of these places.

Creating storyboard

Katie and I created a storyboard with specific detail and layout to help organize our film opening. When predicting our film it is extremely important we layout all of our scenes write down our creative thoughts, and then physically illustrate it in our opening.  Similar to this storyboard, I created something based off of each scene.

Script for CCR

This is my script, I typed on Word. I made sure to include all aspects of the questions, as if this was a real interview. Component 1   When producing this film opening, we challenged conventions by using twisting and unexpected turns to keep viewers engaged. For example, we used th e mes that some people may be uncomfortable with or even seem controversial . Like violence, a child being left home alone, and people being abducted . My film is a horror film based on the dangers of leaving your child home alone at night .   The little girl gets kidnapped,   which builds the plot for the rest of our horror movie.  The social group issues are represented by depicting a young girl from an upper socio - economic background. She lives in a big house that is nicely decorated and dressed up innocently. The young girl may be targeted by others, who may resent this social group. The film uses a plethora of conventions from the horror movie genre such as the plot, cos...

Brainstorming our film opening

While watching previously done examples of film openings, Katie and I started sorting out our plan. We already decided on the title "Abducted", to express key component of the film which the little girl becoming hostage. The plot we created a young girl being scared of the dark, reading herself a bedtime story while she finds herself in the hands of a child kidnapper. To express the Horror genre we want to include typical features of a horror film. For mise en scene, we are planning to include dim lighting, creepy setting (dark bedroom), blood, weapon, torn up clothes, stuffed animal, and messy hair.  For our first scene, we have an idea of the young girl brushing her teeth and getting ready for bed, while she is doing her nighttime routine she experiences weird sounds, movements, and figures in the house. The young girl is going to be the protagonist of the film while the child kidnapper is the antagonist. Our classmate offered her help to record our scenes, because we are o...
