Camera angle assignment

https://youtube.com/shorts/ScJ1zSHlGl4?si=H2wwCQqsW7s2sQlg- shoulder level  considered a more cinematic way to show a character, especially during dialogues. It gives a scene more spotlight on the character and focused on what's going on with the character. In the shot i had my friend walk around the hallways as if she was walking to class, the camera was at shoulder level to really highlight her and her movements.

https://youtube.com/shorts/jLbHVvgvmqg?si=bzmDUT9emTyomxqQ- Dutch angle is used to signal to the viewer that something is wrong, disorienting, or unsettling. For instance, in my shot I pretended as if I was crying and the camera was tilting to give it a more dramatic effect. This scene was kind of hard to film, especially because of the camera tilting.  to

https://youtube.com/shorts/1hATBIS5sL4?si=b0DUpvYZZp6M_Wkk-overhead shot is a great way to capture an entire scene and show it from a new perspective. In my shot i used the overhead shot emphasize what was going on in the scene. Because it was looking from above, its not the usual perspective and it really changes the way the audience views it. My experience creating this scene was so much fun, epically because I was trying to capture me looking very miniature,

https://youtube.com/shorts/nG-y6-xECEg?si=pcf9xOw-zJuN3s_b-eye level this mimic how we see people how we see people in real life, can give an understanding of the character to the audience. My friend held the phone for me as she recorded me around school. I acted as if I was giving a new student a tour of the school, and the eye level shot really gave the students POV.

https://youtube.com/shorts/-RFp9CrzNIo?si=foiciXnY0A-y11G8-knee level could be seen as a more digitalized way of showing the main character's features or details that are not revealed in the accompanying shots. It also may create suspense in a scene when walking across somewhere without seeing the facial expression of a character. in my shot i was recorded walking in the hallway across school, which the knee level shot created uncertainty throughout the shot because the audience had no idea where i was heading too.

https://youtube.com/shorts/odSjMr1Rbkw?si=XBxzunSFbMqUtWgx-ground level can help to make the viewer more active and use the actor's performance to build an idea. It can also cause the scene to be more dramatic. In my shot i tried to capture my friend skipping across the hallway to give off some typpe of emotion. It kinda builded an idea as if to why he was so happy skipping around school. The ground level shot questions the audience. This shot was harder for me to capture because it was hard to keep up with the same pace as the person skipping in the video.

https://youtube.com/shorts/exyPs7JT6yc?si=zD4cilNM2O95XCEv- low angle camera shots are a perfect camera angle for signaling superiority or to elicit feelings of fear and dread. Taking the shot I positioned the camera near the ground and upwards to create the low angle affect. Then recorded her walking around school, she looked very dominant.
https://youtu.be/fy46SMccq1U?si=Zi2bDOjTRfMxDPbo- hip level stresses on objects and action that takes place around the hip.  it can mainly focus on items around that area, but in this case, I didn't have anything to use around the hip but, I still captured the same affect by having my friend pretended as if she was a model walking down the runway, this scene was so much fun and having it as hip level really added meaning to the shot.

https://youtube.com/shorts/3nxlwHcxJ1E?si=gtYaFlhZWJVZarpY- high angle makes the subject seem vulnerable or powerless when applied with the correct mood, setting, and effects. In film, they can make the scene more dramatic. While creating this shot it was kind of hard to get a good high angle, so i had to go on my tippy toes for it to really create that dramatic effect.

Improved filming schedule

Here we created our updated schedule for our filiming dates, editing, and ccr.

predicted scenes

Today in class I made a layout with all of our scenes, with a short description, and what we are going to incorporate in it. On Friday we are filming to finish filming. Our friend Lilah offered to help us film, so she may come to. We will try to go by these filming sheet but we may have to improvise.

Brainstorming our film opening

While watching previously done examples of film openings, Katie and I started sorting out our plan. We already decided on the title "Abducted", to express key component of the film which the little girl becoming hostage. The plot we created a young girl being scared of the dark, reading herself a bedtime story while she finds herself in the hands of a child kidnapper. To express the Horror genre we want to include typical features of a horror film. For mise en scene, we are planning to include dim lighting, creepy setting (dark bedroom), blood, weapon, torn up clothes, stuffed animal, and messy hair.  For our first scene, we have an idea of the young girl brushing her teeth and getting ready for bed, while she is doing her nighttime routine she experiences weird sounds, movements, and figures in the house. The young girl is going to be the protagonist of the film while the child kidnapper is the antagonist. Our classmate offered her help to record our scenes, because we are o
