Brainstorming our film opening

While watching previously done examples of film openings, Katie and I started sorting out our plan. We already decided on the title "Abducted", to express key component of the film which the little girl becoming hostage. The plot we created a young girl being scared of the dark, reading herself a bedtime story while she finds herself in the hands of a child kidnapper. To express the Horror genre we want to include typical features of a horror film. For mise en scene, we are planning to include dim lighting, creepy setting (dark bedroom), blood, weapon, torn up clothes, stuffed animal, and messy hair.  For our first scene, we have an idea of the young girl brushing her teeth and getting ready for bed, while she is doing her nighttime routine she experiences weird sounds, movements, and figures in the house. The young girl is going to be the protagonist of the film while the child kidnapper is the antagonist. Our classmate offered her help to record our scenes, because we are only 2 people. We are already discussing when we are gonna meet up and start recording.

Script for CCR

My film is a horror film based on the dangers of leaving your child home alone at night .   The little girl gets kidnapped,   which builds the plot for the rest of our horror movie.  The social group issues are represented by depicting a young girl from an upper socio - economic background. She lives in a big house that is nicely decorated and dressed up innocently. The young girl may be targeted by others, who may resent this social group. The film uses a plethora of conventions from the horror movie genre such as the plot, cos...
